How to Earn Money Using Kontera

In tough economic times, many webmasters and bloggers are looking for ways to earn additional money from their web presence. Google AdSense is one of the more popular ways to earn money with a website, but many webmasters have discovered Kontera in line text links as a nice complement to their Google AdSense income. Since Kontera content links are compatible with Google AdSense, site owners need not worry about violating Google’s terms of service and having their accounts suspended. The following tips will help you on your way to additional income.

  1. Visit the Kontera website and register for a new account. Make sure to read the publisher qualifications before signing up. Kontera does not accept sites that are engaged in illegal activity, pornography, illicit drugs, hate, violence and excessive profanity. The site must also use English as the primary language and must be content rich.

  2. Sign into the account and configure the links. After the website has been approved by the Kontera team, sign in and access the "Content Link Setup" section of the Kontera site. As of this writing, user configuration is limited to modifying the color of the inline text links.

  3. Determine how many links to display on any given page. Although the purpose is to monetize and earn additional money, too many ads are distracting and can cause visitors to click away. It is best not to overwhelm visitors with too many links. Notify the Kontera team if the code generates too many links.

  4. Copy and paste the code into your website. Once the configuration process is complete, the Kontera website displays the implementation code to be placed into the blog or website of choice. Make sure to place the code before the closing body tag of the HTML page.

  5. Test the code to ensure it displays properly. Testing the code is an important step. On occasion some web scripts may interfere with the proper display of the Kontera content links. It is best to thoroughly test the code on one page of the website before inserting the code on all pages of the website.
